New NoizeBarrier TAC Includes PTT and Radio Connector

OTTO Engineering, a leader in audio accessory development located in Illinois, has introduced a tactical headset with advanced situational awareness for military and SWAT teams. The new NoizeBarrier TAC uses the same technology as the V4-11029 Active Hearing Protection Electronic Earplugs released last year.

The headset has a PTT with clip and a specific radio cable eliminating the need for an adapter. The initial release was designed for the most popular tactical radios – Motorola APX, Harris XG-75, Kenwood TK-5220, and EF Johnson Viking,

The NoizeBarrier TAC specifications are impressive. It is MIL-STD-810G compliant, has a IP68 submersible rating, and has a minimum 23dB NRR. The dynamic, telescopic boom microphone can be mounted on the left or right side. Powered by two AAA batteries, the operating time is up to 72 hours with no degradation of performance.
